This is the web banner that I created to promote the “Hike to Health” event for Pardee Hospital at Pink Beds.

Pix Logo and Card
The Times Free Press shoots a lot of photos as you can imagine. There are staff and freelance photographers at all sorts of events around the Chattanooga area. The TFP has a dedicated section of the website to view/download/buy photos from these various events. This section used to be called Spotted. There was a name change and in turn a new logo was needed. So… this is what I came up with for for the new logo as placed on the leave behind card. The card is carried by the photographers and handed out or left where people can take them to later log in and see pictures from the event. Check out the page at: pix.timesfreepress.com
Summit Insurance Logo – FINAL
Summit Insurance Logo Take 2
Here are 4 more submissions that I presented to Summit Insurance for their identity. I still went with the whole mountain theme. Google summit and look at all the mountain themed logos… It’s almost ridiculous. I was fairly partial to the 3rd one down. The client loved the last one. No refinement, no alterations and no tweaks.
Summit Insurance Logo Concept
A new local insurance agency commisioned me to do a logo design for their business. I was given some pretty concise direction. The client asked for Silver or metallic, bold, contemporary on black background with the “M”s forming mountains. I was very proud that I was able to achieve exactly what they were asking for. This was to prove a very easy job for me since I did not have to come up with different concepts.
Upon receipt of the logo designs, I was told that I did EXACTLY what they told me and after review, they thought it was not the best idea. At this point they took a step back and allowed me to do a few different ideas of my own.

Here is this year’s house ad for the Times Free Press. It ran as a full page at 10.5″ x 21.5″.
The entire project was built in Photoshop and incorporated some vector elements. I used actual newspaper (digital files) pages and an antiqued paper background. The shapes were built in illustrator as well as the typography.
