This is an event poster for Pardee Hospital in Henderson, NC. The event is to promote healthy living by sponsoring a hike through some beautiful scenery in North Carolina’s DuPont State Forest.
I was commisioned to do this based on the retro / vintige travel poster themes I had done for the Old North State Land Rover Society.
The poster was Illustrated by hand in Adobe Illustrator, then transfered to Photoshop where some additional color tweaking was done as well as incorporating the parchment style paper background and some antiquing and distressing.
Image #2 is the sketch that I received from the Creative Director at Pardee. I took his sketch into account as I illustrated.
The final size for this piece was a mere 11″ by 17″.
