Formal Affair is a large bridal show held at the Chattanooga Convention center where about 200 vendors try to peddle their goods and services to new bridezillas. The event is put on and hosted by the Chattanooga Times Free Press and the event does very well. For advertising… the campaign boasts colorful photographs and was basically an “update” from previous years. While I did work on the 2011 campaign, I just adapted previous design, so it truly was not my work. However, I was asked to produce some different advertising materials that still followed branding guidelines, but I had my creative freedom. So, with the idea that I was not going to use heavy photography, I went with typography as the leading design element with the photo very secondary yet powerful. The ring in the design is actually vector that I brought into Photoshop to give a reflection.
